I've been spoiled. I learned Java before I learned any other programming language. Java's not useless like Modula-3, and not horribly non-sensical like C. It has garbage collection, it looks pretty when you type it out, and it takes care of you if you're the kind of person who can't be arsed to allocate and de-allocate memory.

Anyway, here's few links to get you started if you're interested in Java. I think the real idea of this page is for me to show off Java related things I've done, but so far I've done remarkably few interesting things that I'd be proud to show off. In the mean time you can ask yourself why this page is here - if you know about Java, you don't need these links to tell you where to go. If you don't, why are you looking at this page anyway?

www.java.sun.com The official Java web site, operated by Sun Microsystems.
www.javaboutique.com Premade Java Applets to add to impress people who visit your website (or make it look really gaudy, as the case may be).
www.webdeveloper.com How To's on Java, JavaScript, Wed Design, and other scary, scary things.
republic.snowplains.org Thought I'd throw this in here. This is the site for a telnet talker that a friend of mine wrote entirely in Java. You can't actually log in unless someone invites you. If you're really interested, let me know.
