Update: Finally, more pictures of various things can be found on the second picture page.

I'm of the opinion that I'm a rather un-photogenic person and I also don't have a camera of my own, which means a) I'm not in a whole lot of pictures and b) pictures taken by myself are a rare find indeed.
Anyway, below are a few that I took this past fall (Fall of 99) at a friends house near Owen Sound with my dads camera. If I find some others and I bother to scan them and I bother to add them to the page and I bother to upload the page to the server, then more may appear here someday.

Oh... having been spoiled for the last while with either an ethernet or ADSL connection to the internet, I tend to forget how slow things can be over a modem. The pictures are all around 120K or so in size, so consider yourself warned.

(Near) Home in the Fall

A Tree!
Sometimes I go for interesting shots. Sometimes they don't work out. This is one of those times. It was a windy day and I meant to leave the shutter open longer to get a blurred effect but it apparently didn't stay open long enough. I thought the tree looked nice anyway.
A Bluff of Some Sort
This is a shot looking out over something at some bluff somewhere. Actually, the bluff is part of the Niagara Escarpment and is somewhere within a 20 minute drive from Wiarton. I just liked the clouds.
The Loney's Farm
This is a shot of my friend Margaret's parents' farm in Big Bay Ontario (where all of the other fall pictures were taken). The water in the background is Colpoy's Bay, on Georgian Bay.
A Bright Pink Flower
This one I took with my (dad's) Macro lens. It has a small depth of field so you get only a very little bit in focus... I think it has a small depth of field. If not, my highschool media teacher will be severely dissapointed in me. I don't know what sort of flower it is. I'll have to ask Margaret.
Elly Blowing Milkweed Seeds
Behind the Loney's house is a huge field filled with among many other things - including an in-the-works Stonehenge - milkweed plants. I think we ended up helping them propogate very well.
Margaret (also) Blowing Milkweed Seeds
Like I said, we contributed in no small way to the maintenance of the milkweed population.
Margaret and Christina This was taken on a road not too far from Margaret's house on the same day. That's Margaret and her roomate Christina walking away.
Elly & Sonja
Here Elly & Sonja look back on their walk and wonder why I'm bothering to take a picture of them doing nothing.
The Last of the Milkweed Shots
And one final shot of everyone throwing milkweed seeds about like they grew on trees.

Various Other Pictures

Before Prom
This is a shot taken of part of the "harem" and I just before Prom. Our group of friends had a guy-girl ratio of about 2:6, although it occasionally increased to 1:11 or so - hence "harem". That's Julia, Sonja, myself, and Leanne.
The Harem at Kelso Beach
This was taken during the summer when the harem reached its peak. This is a picture of most of the group, with just a few exceptions.
